The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin April 29, 2006, at Central Market North, and drew approximately 10,000 over the four days to the central Austin location, far exceeding expectations, and setting the stage for what has now become a Central Texas tradition.

Celebrating 50 Years of ACWE
TCMF was created by and is presented by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.
This year, the Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who is celebrating its 50th year in 2025, and continues to make our festival possible.
