The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin April 29, 2006, at Central Market North, and drew approximately 10,000 over the four days to the central Austin location, far exceeding expectations, and setting the stage for what has now become a Central Texas tradition.

This year, the Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who celebrated its 50th year in 2025 and continues to make our festival possible.

Watching this group arrive, load in, set up their stage, and break down and pack everything is a performance in and of itself!!! And sadly, one that can’t be done safely and without damage to their instruments in pouring rain. We are so sad to miss them. But…
