Join us for the 20th YEAR of our local, free, grassroots music festival, right here in Austin, TX!
The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin on April 29, 2006 at Central Market Cafe North. The very first TCMF drew approximately 10,000 attendees over the four-day event, far exceeding expectations and setting the stage for what has now become a ten-day tradition.

Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who celebrated its 50th year in 2025 and continues to make our festival possible.

Austin – Texas Community Music Festival 16 heads towards our final weekend with an exciting schedule of performances beginning at 5:45pm on Thursday with Kat’s Porch Jam and the Thursday Night Jeffersons. Come out to Central Market North and enjoy the warm weather, great music and food and drink, TCMF style! Austin – Despite a weather interruption Saturday morning, TCMF 16 drew large and appreciative crowds throughout the first weekend of the 2023 festival. Please check our video highlights and our Facebook page for a look and listen to what festival goers were treated to all weekend! Come out every weeknight from 5:45 – 8:00 for a super week of music, beginning Monday with the Amboss Polka Band. And remember, EVERY TCMF performance is family friendly…
