The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin on April 29, 2006 at Central Market Cafe North. The very first TCMF drew approximately 10,000 attendees over the four-day event, far exceeding expectations and setting the stage for what has now become a ten-day tradition.

Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who celebrated its 50th year in 2025 and continues to make our festival possible.

This year we’ve listed the performers scheduled during each volunteer time slot on the volunteer sign-up page. So, if there’s a band, or a specific genre of music you’d like to see, you can choose your times based on those as well.
Austin – The 2023 Texas Community Music Festival closed Sunday with a traditional performance by the Dead Music Capital Band. It marked the end of another wonderful 10 days of music, as we once again celebrated the community of Texas musicians. Thanks to all of our outstanding volunteers, who make our festival run.
