The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin on April 29, 2006 at Central Market Cafe North. The very first TCMF drew approximately 10,000 attendees over the four-day event, far exceeding expectations and setting the stage for what has now become a ten-day tradition.

TCMF Spotlight: Boss Street Brass Band

Boss Street Brass Band will be making their first TCMF appearance this year.  Come get your fill of funk on Sunday, April 21, at 1:30pm! Created in the Fall of 2011, most of the members are graduates from John H. TCMF Spotlight: The Skylarks

The Skylarks will be making their second appearance at this year’s TCMF!  Come see them at 5:15pm, Saturday April 20! The Skylarks is a 7,8,9 piece group. Over the years, they have traditionally played dance music, but their repertoire also includes traditional jazz, some Dixieland, and basically just fun stuff.
