The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin on April 29, 2006 at Central Market Cafe North. The very first TCMF drew approximately 10,000 attendees over the four-day event, far exceeding expectations and setting the stage for what has now become a ten-day tradition.

Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who celebrated its 50th year in 2025 and continues to make our festival possible.

Austin — The Tenth Texas Community Music Festival has been set for April 12 – 16, 2014, with a one-week break for Easter, and then will return Wednesday, April 23 through Sunday April 27.
