STAY SAFE AND We'LL SEE YOU IN 2021!

TCMF 2020 IS CANCELLED.  PLEASE READ AND SHARE

As summer wears on, COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Texas and Austin extends its stay-at-home order, we are sad to announce that the 2020 Texas Community Music Festival will not take place this August as previously rescheduled. This is not the future that any of us hoped to confront, but our main focus remains the safety and well-being of our musicians, festival goers, Central Market patrons and everyone involved in the festival.

Although Central Market will begin to slowly phase in limited live music this month, the prospect of a 10-day festival featuring bands as large as 80 musicians and thousands of festival goers will simply not be practical or physically possible in a few short weeks, despite our desperate hopes that it would be.

After 15 years, a year without TCMF is hard for us to fathom, but we have every intention of returning in 2021. Though we have yet to discuss the date, we will aim to stage TCMF 2020 (+1) around the time in April as we always have. We can’t wait to be together at Central Market again when it is safe for everyone.

All performers currently signed up and confirmed for the rescheduled festival will be given first right of refusal when we open TCMF 2020 (+1) for booking. Until then, be safe, be smart and know that we’re thinking about all of you!

Love for our community,
