The fifth annual Texas Community Music Festival begins next Friday, April 23, at Central Market North, with an evening of traditional jazz, presented by the Austin Traditional Jazz Society, and will continue throughout the next two weeks (check the schedule page) at Central Market and Scholz Garten, culminating Thursday May 6 with the year’s first appearance of the infamous but always fun Wurst Band. The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin April 29, 2006, at Central Market North, and drew approximately 10,000 over the four days to the central Austin location, far exceeding expectations, and setting the stage for what has now become a Central Texas tradition.

Celebrating 50 Years of ACWE
TCMF was created by and is presented by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.
This year, the Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who is celebrating its 50th year in 2025, and continues to make our festival possible.
