The Blue Diamonds plays a mix a traditional big band jazz with bebop, R&B, Latin, funk and rock arrangements. In addition, we perform our own treatments of ball room classics, swing tunes, vocal standards and modern blues. The band was established in 2005 with its current lineup as an eight-piece ensemble, and have played together since 2001. Our longevity gives us a wide r’epertoire of musical arrangements.

The Blue Diamonds are available for gigs in central Texas, and have played for weddings, private parties, community events, conferences and business events. The band has played for numerous IBM business socials, Freescale Semiconductor’s annual Family Day celebration, The Austin Uptown Classic 10K, the Austin 10/20 Run, ASAP Users Group Conference, various charity events, private parties, weddings, and dances sponsored by groups such as The Austin Swing SyndicateThe Austin Ballroom Dancers and others.
