The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin April 29, 2006, at Central Market North, and drew approximately 10,000 over the four days to the central Austin location, far exceeding expectations, and setting the stage for what has now become a Central Texas tradition.

Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who celebrated its 50th year in 2025 and continues to make our festival possible.

In the weeks leading up to the Eighth Annual Texas Community Music Festival, we will be spotlighting some of the ensembles that will be participating in this year’s program.
