Austin — the most ambitious Texas Community Music Festival ever, TCMF IX, is nearly full. As of Feb. 1, only SEVEN openings remained for community music organizations to showcase their performance at the annual event, hosted by Central Market and the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble. Wednesday, April 16 is the only completely open date, with three sets still unbooked. Two sets are available Thursday, April 24 and single sets still available on Monday April 14…

The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin on April 29, 2006 at Central Market Cafe North. The very first TCMF drew approximately 10,000 attendees over the four-day event, far exceeding expectations and setting the stage for what has now become a ten-day tradition.
