The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin April 29, 2006, at Central Market North, and drew approximately 10,000 over the four days to the central Austin location, far exceeding expectations, and setting the stage for what has now become a Central Texas tradition.

FOUR WEEKNIGHTS ADDED TO 2012 TCMF SCHEDULE

Austin — The Texas Community Music Festival is proud to announce that four weeknight shows have been added to the 2012 festival schedule. The Seventh Annual TCMF will now include Monday and Tuesday, April 23-24, and Monday and Tuesday, April 30-May 1. All performances will be held at Central Market North. Austin —  This year’s festival will move a week earlier, to the weekend of April 21-22 and 28-29 at Central Market North. AUSTIN —  In Sunday night’s closing set, Maestro Robert Laguna of the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble reminded the crowd that a concert band that didn’t play a march, didn’t love their mothers.  Sunday, ACWE kicked off with a Sousa march to honor all the Mothers, and capped off a great Mother’s Day of music at Central Market.
