The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin on April 29, 2006 at Central Market Cafe North. The very first TCMF drew approximately 10,000 attendees over the four-day event, far exceeding expectations and setting the stage for what has now become a ten-day tradition.

Texas Community Music Festival honors our founding organization, ACWE, who celebrated its 50th year in 2025 and continues to make our festival possible.

Austin — The Tenth Annual Texas Community Music Festival featured a program as diverse as Austin and provided music lovers of all ages with something old and something new. Austin — The Tenth Annual Texas Community Music Festival entertained huge opening crowds at Central Market North, despite numerous attempts by Mother Nature to rain on its parade.
