The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin on April 29, 2006 at Central Market Cafe North. The very first TCMF drew approximately 10,000 attendees over the four-day event, far exceeding expectations and setting the stage for what has now become a ten-day tradition.

AUSTIN — The Fourteenth Annual Texas Community Music Festival is now in full swing at Central Market North, 4001 North Lamar. Our 10th and final day of music continues until 8:45 tonight and features an outstanding lineup, including Austin Ukestra, the Numbers, Lêlek Banda, Blue Vibe, Suzanne Vanrandwyk, Miss Guilty, Republic of Texas Big Band, the Cosmic Clarinets, Austin Jazz Band, Scott Kearns and NAJO.
