The Final Day! Come On Down!

Sunday, April 21st is the FINAL day of TCMFseventeen! If you’ve been meaning to drop by for a set or two, this is your last chance until next spring!

SUNDAY APRIL 21st — 10:15am

The all-volunteer Waterloo Wind Band originated as the Dripping Springs Concert Band. That group disbanded in the fall of 2011 due to rehearsal space issues, but quickly re-formed in South Austin, which proved to be more accessible to area musicians. The band grew rapidly and attracted more instrumentalists. Renamed the Waterloo Wind Band, its story resembled the life cycle of the mystical phoenix, which became the group’s unofficial mascot. Unique and rich musical experiences are provided for musicians and audiences alike. Musicians are challenged to play a wide variety of music for ensembles: concert band music, marches, orchestral transcriptions, jazz, movie and theater music.

SUNDAY APRIL 21st — 11:30am

Austin Community College offers two impressive jazz ensembles and jazz combos. We’re fortunate enough to have them both! These groups are made up of top-notch student musicians, ACC faculty, and featured guests, and are led by Steven Sodders and Steve Sauerwein. A festival favorite!
