An afternoon lull.

Unfortunately, we HAVE had a weather cancellation. The Inside out Steel band will be unable to perform due to the inclement weather.

Watching this group arrive, load in, set up their stage, and break down and pack everything is a performance in and of itself!!! And sadly, one that can’t be done safely and without damage to their instruments in pouring rain. We are so sad to miss them. But we highly recommend you seek them out elsewhere. They put on a fantastic show!

Inside Out has been actively advancing the Trinidadian steel pan art form in Austin and Central Texas since 1996. We offer community classes, lessons, school-based workshops and long-term residencies, as well as public performances. We welcome all levels, including absolute beginners to professional musicians to learn to play the steel pan.

Executive and Artistic Director CJ Menge has composed and arranged over 100 works for steel band. His works have been performed throughout the United States and have been featured at national and international festivals.
