TCMF X KICKS OFF FRIDAY, RAIN OR SHINE!

Austin — The Tenth Annual Texas Community Music Festival kicks off Friday, April 17 at 5:45pm at Central Market North, 4001 N. Lamar, in Austin.  And though the weatherman may be predicting rain (they always do for Austin in April), THE SHOW WILL GO ON RAIN OR SHINE, as it always has.

This year’s festival features another widely diverse smorgasbord of musical performances and performers, from solo songwriters to concert bands of more than 70 pieces, and everything in between.  If you’re a jazz aficionado, you won’t want to miss TCMF.  If you love the blues, bluegrass and rhythm and blues, you won’t want to miss TCMF.  World music?  Check!  Brass bands?  Check!  Funk and soul?  We got you covered.  Everything from an Andean folk music ensemble to a Zombie marching band… and everything in between.

For 10 years, we’ve been proud to bring Austin’s community of musicians together for a yearly celebration at Central Market North.  And this year, we’ll be doing it again.

Remember, ALL performances at the Texas Community Music Festival are family-friendly and FREE of charge, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, private contributors (you can be one, too!)  and of course our sponsoring organization, the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble, and our gracious host, Central Market.

Check out the schedule page and come out and join us for great music, friendly surroundings and wonderful food and drink.

“X” marks the spot!
