Opening Night! Times FIVE!

AUSTIN — The FIFTH Annual Texas Community Music Festival opens at 5:30pm today at Central Market North, with an evening of Traditional Jazz, sponsored by the Austin Traditional Jazz Society.  Aunt Ruby’s Sweet Jazz Babies take the stage at 5:30, followed at 7:25 by Dave Stoddard and the Silver Creek Jazz Band.

SPECIAL NEWS FLASH!  The UT Longhorn Alumni Band — probably not all 3,000 members of this venerable organization — will be stampeding through Central Market TWICE during the festival:  Saturday, April 24, at 1:15pm and again Sunday, May 2, at 2:30pm.  So come and sing “The Eyes of Texas” with us at TCMF!

TCMF is organized, managed and promoted by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble, Austin’s oldest community band, and has been generously hosted over the years by Central Market North and Scholz Garten. Check the schedule page for details on our performers, times and venues for this year’s festival.  Also find us on Facebook!

Admission is FREE, as it is for the entire two-week festival.
