The Texas Community Music Festival kicked off in Austin April 29, 2006, at Central Market North, and drew approximately 10,000 over the four days to the central Austin location, far exceeding expectations, and setting the stage for what has now become a Central Texas tradition.

Austin — The Texas Community Music Festival regrets to announce that the May 2nd performance of The Wurst Band, the traditional closing act of the TCMF, has been cancelled by Scholz Garten management, due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control It is our sincere hope that TCMF and the Wurst Band will return to Scholz’ for the 2014 Texas Community Music Festival. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.
