TCMF Rocks the Rockin’-est Grocery Store in the World!

Jolly Jankin and the Sideshow Bobs kick off Wednesday’s program at TCMF the 13th!

Austin — The Thirteenth Annual Texas Community Music Festival wraps up its first week tonight at Central Market, “the Rockin’-est Grocery Story in the World,” with another delightful program of music by new and veteran performers alike.

Thursday’s program kicks off at 5:30 with Made in the Shade, featuring perennial TCMF volunteer (and problem solver) Jane Gordon on percussion.  The Lone Star Swing Syndicate takes the stage at 6:45 and the evening’s program climaxes at 8 with TCMF newcomer Polarizado.

Despite a few weather related blips, TCMF the 13th has drawn great crowds throughout its first week and music lovers have seen some outstanding performances.

Tuesday’s bright sunshine kept Mother Nature’s spotlight on Susanna Lee and the Rocket Band, Just Because Fun Bunch and the ACC Stage Ensemble, all of whom are TCMF veterans and crowd favorites.

Wednesday’s rain showers moved the show onto the covered cafe deck, where audiences enjoyed Jolly Jankin and the Sideshow Bobs and Blue Vibe, both of whom made their first appearances at TCMF the 13th.  The evening was closed out by another crowd favorite, Bubba Coletrane and the Train Wrecks.

The weather people are predicting sunny skies throughout the remainder of the festival, which runs through Sunday so check our schedule page and make plans to join us for the community music event of the year!

TCMF is brought to you by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble, graciously hosted by Central Market and generously sponsored by Ms. Kat’s Music and Movement and Westbank String Shop.
