Tuesday on the patio!

Manteca Beat brings it Tuesday night at TCMF11

Austin — The 11th Annual Texas Community Music Festival dodged the raindrops Tuesday evening at Central Market and music lovers were treated to one of our more diverse programs of the 10-day celebration.

The evening was kicked off by the Violet Crown Flute Choir, a subset of host group, the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble.  Unfortunately, ACWE had to cancel Saturday’s opening show but Violet Crown was able to go on, and delivered a beautiful program of classical music, featuring the entire flute family, from piccolo to bass flute!

Next up was Dead Random, a first time TCMF participant who turned the Central Market patio into a honky tonk, with a great and very tight set of County & Western music.

The evening was topped off by Paul Klemperer and Manteca Beat, who dished up a tasty smorgasbord of jazz and rewarded the audience as well as all of us at TCMF with another spectacular performance.

Wednesday’s program kicks off at 5:30pm with TCMF originals, The Chaparral Dixielanders, followed by Suburban Beat at 6:45.  TCMF favorite Woot Talley + The Box rounds out the show at 8pm.

The sun is shining and the tunes will be tasty tonight at Central Market, so make plans to join us at #TCMF11!
