TCMF11 countdown to kickoff!

Austin — The smoke has cleared from SXSW and Austin’s “festival season” is off and running.

One of the unsung jewels of our city’s rich musical tradition is the Texas Community Music Festival, April 15-25 at Central Market North, 4001 N. Lamar.

This year’s lineup promises to raise the bar yet again, and features a lineup of TCMF veterans mixed with a number of musical ensembles making their first appearance at Texas’ largest community music gathering.

If you haven’t signed up to perform in TCMF11, there are still a scant few 15-minute showcase sets available on the four weekend dates. If you’ve signed up and are wondering when you’re playing (yes, that still happens every year), please consult the schedule page.

In the coming days, we’ll be updating our “at-cost” CafePress site, where you and your bandmates can order custom TCMF merch. This year’s design will feature a showbill T-shirt, so you’ll want to promote that to your members.

Also, we’re still looking for volunteers for this year’s TCMF. It’s fun and easy and, if you sign up for two shifts or more, you’ll get some special TCMF goodies! Click here and volunteer now.

Stay tuned TCMFers!  Things are going to start moving fast!
