Not Past 11 on opening night of the Tenth Annual Texas Community Music Festival.

Austin — The Tenth Annual Texas Community Music Festival entertained huge opening crowds at Central Market North, despite numerous attempts by Mother Nature to rain on its parade.

A record crowd packed the deck Friday night during stormy weather and were rewarded with wonderful performances by Trilogy Clarinets of Marble Falls, Not Past 11 and Rhythm Congress, with special guest singer Samantha Prate.

Saturday’s show began with the first of two TCMF appearances by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble and featured another twelve performances, including the ninth TCMF appearance by the Austin Jazz Workshop, featuring their big band presentation of the music of Count Basie.

Sunday’s performances are well underway and culminate at 7:30 pm with Boss Street Brass Band.  It’s sunny and warm.  Perfect day for music!!!
