Central Market dates set for SIXTH ANNUAL Texas Community Music Festival

Starlight Symphony Orchestra performs on the first Sunday of the 2010 Texas Community Music Festival

AUSTIN — In five years, the Texas Community Music Festival has attracted tens of thousands of music lovers of all ages and presented arguably the most diverse and eclectic mix of musical styles and performances anywhere in Austin.

Now, The Austin Civic Wind Ensemble is excited to announce that the weekend dates have been set for the Sixth Annual Texas Community Music Festival, April 30-May 1 and May 7-8, 2011, at Central Market North.

Already, a number of groups — both newcomer and TCMF veterans — have requested performance sets, so if your group is interested in performing in the 2011 TCMF please contact us by email at [email protected] as soon as possible.

Check back on the Schedule and Signup Information page on this website frequently and watch our festival take shape for 2011.

We hope to be announcing several mid-week performance opportunities at other venues and will announce those dates if and when they are confirmed.

Meanwhile, make plans to join us again and help build on the TCMF tradition.

The Texas Community Music Festival is presented by the Austin Civic Wind Ensemble and generously hosted by HEB Central Market North.
