NEWS FLASH — The Fifth Annual Texas Community Music Festival, April 23-May 6, 2010 in Austin, will provide the greatest number of performance opportunities in the history of the Festival. However, the schedule is filling up faster than anyone imagined.
If you’ve played TCMF before, you know how much fun and enjoyment your bandmates and the appreciative audiences receive from your performances at Central Market and Scholz Garten. That’s why so many of our longtime performers keep coming back year after year . If you haven’t played TCMF in the past, now’s the time to book a performance before they’re all gone!
Check the SCHEDULE page to see the available times that remain. We’re down to a precious few openings at Central Market North and have totally filled one of the nights at Scholz Garten — which is a perfect venue for smaller ensembles, jazz bands, polka, dixieland, rock, latin — anything that goes well with cool spring nights and cold beer!
We will try to make more times and dates available, but not until we fill the existing schedule.
CALLING ALL BLOGGERS!
On another note, we’re looking for a blog entry from each of the first four years of the Texas Community Music Festival to feature on this site. If you played TCMF in 2006, 2007, 2008 or 2009 — or if you were here for it– please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’d love to preserve our history through your eyes and ears…
